AutoComplete Email in Outlook
One of the most important things required upon formatting your PC or moving to another PC is to migrate your Old Outlook including the very important Autocomplete emails file.
Here’s how to do it for Outlook 2016/2019, before you have moved to new PC or formatted
1. Close Outlook completely, even from taskbar and Task manager
2. Locate the Autocomplete file, this is the file which has the Emails you need- %localappdata%\Microsoft\Outlook\RoamCache (type this in Run or Explorer)
3. Arrange the files by date, newest to top.
4. You will see a Stream_Autcomplete file which will have the biggest size among all the other files. Copy and save this file somewhere.
5. Now once you have moved to new pc or done formatting, Install and Set up your email in Outlook.
6. Open Outlook and then completely close it.
7. Now open %localappdata%Microsoft\Outlook\RoamCache (type this in Run or Explorer). You will see a Stream_ Autocomplete file, copy the name of this file and rename this file to autocomplete-old.
8. Paste the Autocomplete file of your old PC (step 4) in the current RoamCache folder. Rename this file to the file name you copied in step 7.
Open Outlook and create a new mail, try typing an email which should now Autocomplete.
