Yesterday at a customer site, i was told that a Lenovo T61 Laptop’s audio had stopped working. On inquiring when was the last time audio was working and if any changes were made that caused this, the concerned person told me he had pressed the mute button, and since then the audio was not working.
Solution ( one of the most simplest and strange )
Lenovo T61 has 3 audio buttons. 1. Mute, 2. Volume Up, 3. Volume Down.

Turns out the Mute button just does precisely that, only mute the audio. To Unmute, use the Volume Up or Down key 🙂
